Christmas has a tendency to sneak up on you. Despite marketing departments firing on all cylinders from early september on.

This year seems different. Decoration (and advertising) seems toned way down, and even the ubiquitous stream of flyers and leaflets has dried up to a trickle. Maybe small businesses fear that all the fruits of their efforts will simply end up in Amazon’s deep pockets?

This gives us the opportunity to celebrate as it was meant to be: with less stress, less noise, and more reflection.
